Pablo Bordino

Pablo Bordino is a Senior Project Leader with EcoHealth Alliance's Global Conservation Program, where he coordinates the La Plata (Franciscana) Dolphin Project. He is also Director of AquaMarina, a non-profit organization established in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1999.
Bordino received his BS in Aquatic Biology from the University of Buenos Aires in 1994, a Master in Sciences in 1996, followed by postgraduate courses in Behavioural Ecology and Coastal Management from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and Nova University.
In 2001, Bordino was shortlisted for the prestigious "Whitley Award" from the Whitley Laing and Rufford Foundations (UK), and in 2002 he received the "WildInvest Continuation Award for Conservation of Nature" for his efforts to protect the threatened La Plata dolphin in Argentina. His research focuses on aquatic ecology and coastal management.
AquaMarina's mission is to advance marine biodiversity conservation and coastal marine ecosystem health, by promoting the sustainable use of marine resources.
