EcoHealth Alliance Announces Election of Carlota Vollhardt to Board of Directors

NEW YORK – December 14, 2016 – EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit organization working at the intersection of global public health and wildlife conservation, has announced the election of Carlota Vollhardt, President of Executive Knowledge International LLC. For over 45 years, EcoHealth Alliance has led the field of environmental health with the guidance of a diverse Board of Directors that provide cross-disciplinary expertise and strategic direction for the organization.

Carlota Vollhardt is an expert on top leadership transitions and organizational change and a clinical psychologist and executive coach, who partners with C-suite clients at Fortune and other global companies ranging from 5 billion to 74 billion dollars in revenue. She has over 25 years of international experience in leadership, consulting, and academic positions based in the US, UK, and Germany. In addition, she has consulted or led projects in Japan, China, and Korea. In 2005, she launched Executive Knowledge International LLC (EKI), a consultancy specializing in helping leaders and teams acquire capabilities and knowledge essential for sustainable business performance, organizational engagement, and leadership effectiveness. Prior to that she held positions of increasing responsibility at Pfizer Inc. in global talent, organizational development, and knowledge management as part of the R&D, commercial and corporate divisions.

Before joining Pfizer, Carlota ran in- and outpatient clinics and provided consulting services to health care professionals in Germany and the U.S. She held adjunct faculty positions in masters and doctoral level psychology programs at Connecticut College, US, and Universitaet Eichstaett, Germany, and currently serves as a consultant and speaker to the Knowledge and Innovation Network (KIN), UK, a forum for Fortune 500, non-profit, and government organizations, sponsored by the Warwick Business School.

From 2008 to 2009 she was a Research Fellow at the Harvard School of Education’s Learning and Innovation Laboratory (LILA). Carlota graduated summa cum laude from the Free University Berlin, Germany. She is an alumna of the Advanced Organizational Development and HR Management Program at Columbia University Teachers College, New York, and holds a license as a clinical psychologist and family therapist in Germany.
