EcoHealth Alliance Fellow Joins Convention on Biodiversity Panel of Experts
EcoHealth Alliance fellow Dr. Yasha Feferholtz has joined a panel of experts convened by the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity. Dr. Feferholtz will serve as a consultant on the economics of conservation and health for the CBD and the United Nations Environment Programme.

Dr. Feferholtz has spent the past two years modeling the economics of health and sustainability at EcoHealth Alliance, including our work that measures the economic impact of overly aggressive deforestation in Malaysian Borneo. He is an EcoHealth Alliance fellow.
In his role with the UN, Dr. Feferholtz will calculate resources needed in order to implement recommendations of the CBD. These fall in line with three goals: conserving biodiversity, sustainable resource use, and equitable sharing of benefits from genetic resources.
