EcoHealth Alliance Elects Intellectual Property Attorney Geoffrey Potter to its Board of Directors
NEW YORK – February 28, 2020 – EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit working at the intersection of animal, environmental, and human health on a global scale, has elected Geoffrey Potter to its Board of Directors. As a partner at the law firm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP and the Chair of its Anti-Counterfeiting, Healthcare Fraud and Brand Protection Practices, Mr. Potter offers unique insights on globalization.

Mr. Potter is a highly accomplished trial attorney who represents major pharmaceutical companies. He holds degrees from both Cornell University and the New York University School of Law.
“As we are now in the grips of a zoonotic epidemic, there could not be a more auspicious time to focus on our need to understand the pathways that infectious diseases travel from animals to humans in order to help us avoid a future pandemic,” Mr. Potter said.
Mr. Potter also sits on the Board of Advisors for the New York Civil Rights Coalition.
